If America were Saudi Arabia These Five Everyday Things Would Be Banned [video]

America’s “greatest Gulf state ally,” Saudi Arabia, is well-known for its numerous human rights abuses. Homosexuality is forbidden, punishable by death. No Jews can do business in Saudi Arabia. Dwarf tossing is a recreational sport.

But, what most Americans may not know, is that everyday concepts and activities well-known and accepted in the U.S., are illegal in Saudi Arabia. Here are five:

Women’s Sports and gyms. Women cannot play sports or go to gyms. No working out for women. No attending athletic or sporting events for women. No playing softball or basketball or swimming for women. No World Cup for women.

All religions and beliefs other than Islam. No churches, no synagogues, no atheists. Everyone must believe in Islam, or be killed.

Movie theaters, cinemas. No public movie theaters or cinemas exist. No Batman Returns. No Avengers. No X-Men. No Disney movies.

Women driving. No cars, trucks, motorcycles, or even bikes, are allowed for women, because women aren’t allowed to drive.

Valentine’s Day. No one can wear red. No red roses and a list of all things red are outlawed on February 14th. (Not to mention Christmas and Easter or any other holidays.)

Watch the short clip below to learn why.
